I’ve been in Peru for a couple of weeks now learning more about the ministry through IncaLink. They have 4 different ministries and we’ve got to see 3 of them. All of them incorporate Bible Studies geared toward whichever group of people they are working with. Other activities vary depending on the age, but we’ve got to see sports ministry and time to play and build relationships with the children.

I would love to say that the schedule below is actually what happens every day, but honestly it’s not consistent. I would say that most days follow this schedule loosely. We are always prepared for plans to change and for the day to look different. We also usually don’t know specifics of what we’re gonna do until we’re actually doing it.

7:00am – my alarm goes off. Although, I stay in bed until 7:50

8:00am – breakfast. We eat a lot of bread with butter and strawberry jam. Sometimes we have eggs too

8:45am -dishes!

9:00am – some sort of cleaning. Whether that is sanding doors, washing tables and chairs or pulling weeds. We help out around the compound with whatever they need for that day. It’s usually during this time that I get to have awesome conversations with my teammates and really get to know them more.

12:30pm – a little bit of free time. This is usually when I do my Bible reading.

1:00pm – lunch time. Lots of rice and chicken yummy 🙂

2:00pm – dishes then a little more free time

3:30-4:00pm – honestly the time when afternoon ministry starts is always different. The afternoons though is when we get to hang out with the kids from the different ministries here at IncaLink. We play floor ball (hockey), or board games, or just sit with them during their devotionals. This week we got to teach a couple groups of kids how to play “what time is it Mr. fox” which is super fun cause that’s one of my favorite games from my time with preschool ministry at church.

6:00pm – dinner. More rice and chicken (always a little different with something on the side.. I usually have no idea what it is though). During dinner is also when my team shares our God moments. This is fun because we all experience God in different ways and we get to share those with each other

7:00pm – dishes then team time. For team time we always start with feedback then move into whatever we have for the night. Sometimes it’s sharing a testimony, other times it’s Bible Study or a Bible Project video.

10:00pm – bedtime. I also like to journal and spend some more time with God before actually going to sleep.

Thanks for reading… Blessings!
