Hey! For those of you who have been following my blog since my first race, I’m sure you have noticed that I’ve been posting much more often. I went from blogging once a week to twice a week. Here’s why:

I am a Storyteller Intern with Adventures in Missions this year!! This is a super neat opportunity that they didn’t have on my original race. All this means is that I am working directly with the marketing team of AIM and I am required to write more often than previously. I am also required to submit one of my blogs each month to the marketing team and make it available for them to post it to the world race blog.

The first couple weeks of this, it felt like a lot. Literally the day after I posted a blog, I would immediately start thinking: “Oh shoot, I need to write a blog.” Now I’ve gotten used to the schedule and figured out what works for me so I’m not overwhelmed or stressed out by the requirements. I’m sure I’ll have to readjust when I switch countries and ministries, but for now I’ve got a pretty good flow going.

This has been a really fun opportunity for me and there’s a couple reasons why I love being a storyteller intern. For one, I love talking to people and I love sharing what I’ve been up to on the race. Clearly, I can’t always FaceTime ALL my friends and family so the blog is a great way for me to share with everyone what I’m learning and doing.

Another reason I love this opportunity is the ministry within it. By utilizing the blogging platform AIM has set up, I can reach people all over the US and not just in the country where I’m staying. I know that a lot of things we experience, God uses for us to encourage others. I may not ever know how my blog impacts someone but it brings me joy knowing that others may be blessed by it.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God

~2 Corinthians 1:3-4

I also wanted to open the door for all of you to give me any ideas you might have for a blog. What do you want to see me writing about? Ask me any questions you may have (I can post a Q & A blog in the future). You can contact me any time you have a question or something you’re interested in hearing my view on.

Thank you everyone for supporting me and walking with me on this journey. Love you all!

Blessings,

Kaci

  1. I LOVE reading more blogs from you. I feel like I have the time to hear your heart. More time & depth than when we do get a chance to FT.

How about interviewing people you are working with? Your teammates, squadmates. I’d love to read about a conversation with your host or people at the church where you’re helping out

  2. I’m interested in what the locals think of the USA. Also how their culture is different than ours.
Why your teammates got interested in the World Race. I’m happy you are sending a blog more often and it’s as if we are right there with you!! Just Gramma

  3. I LOVE that you are writing more!!! And you are so good at it! Each week, I look forward to hearing about your experiences and your perspective. I’d like to hear more about life in the places you are. How is it different from home? What traditions do they have there? i think you’ve been coming up with some great topics too. Keep up the great work! Lots of Love!
