John 20:21

Im currently at my training camp in Georgia and I have been asked to contemplate why I am going on the world race, and this is the verse God keeps whispering to me.

In fact, since the day I was accepted to the race God has placed this verse on my heart. It’s significant to me because it not only motivates me toward missional living but it also reminds me that our Lord came to this world as a man to bring hope and light to broken places. Even after Jesus was sacrificed on the cross, He appeared to His disciples to give them peace and to send them out into the world to continue what He started.

Through the World Race I have a wonderful opportunity to apart of God’s powerful work all around the world and see His kingdom come to life and catch glimpses of the glory of Heaven.

  1. Girl do you know what this does to my heart? I’m so proud of you for following God’s calling on your life. I’m also thankful for the peace that God has given your dad and I in the midst of this. I know that God used your two previous trips to Kenya to help pave the way for this amazing journey & this is just one more step.

  2. I love the picture you used! That’s powerful…and it’s so personal! “I am sending you.” And with each person God is sending for each mission He has called us to whether at home or abroad, what the “sending” and purpose is different, but it’s all to bring Kingdom to this lost and broken world! I’m so glad you answered that call!
