John 20:21

Im currently at my training camp in Georgia and I have been asked to contemplate why I am going on the world race, and this is the verse God keeps whispering to me.

In fact, since the day I was accepted to the race God has placed this verse on my heart. It’s significant to me because it not only motivates me toward missional living but it also reminds me that our Lord came to this world as a man to bring hope and light to broken places. Even after Jesus was sacrificed on the cross, He appeared to His disciples to give them peace and to send them out into the world to continue what He started.

Through the World Race I have a wonderful opportunity to apart of God’s powerful work all around the world and see His kingdom come to life and catch glimpses of the glory of Heaven.
